This is a useful video because it provides guidelines for the use of the vast majority of digital monitors on the market today for self-monitoring of blood pressure. Despite its slightly pedantic tone, I chose this British video because it quotes the long-established reading of 140 over 90 as the starting point of high blood pressure.

Most doctors in America have switched to the newer guideline of 130/80, placing  millions more people into an illness category (and creating millions more drug customers?) regardless of age and other factors!
